The iPad in the Humanities Classroom: One Teacher's Journey from Skepticism to Appreciation

This session addresses the unique problems of using the iPad in a text-based classroom, and the presenter's movement from being skeptical towards a technological emphasis in the classroom to appreciating the unique ways the iPad fosters student engagement with humanities' content. The session will include overviews of apps used, and a classroom management system for avoiding digital distraction with the iPad.

Joshua Herring was born in Alabama, and raised in Tennessee and Virginia.
